We made it to Paris just fine. Right now, I'm writing from the FAT BIKE TOUR shop. I just completed a tour of Paris from a Segway. What a riot. Sheila and Mark (I'm not sure if Gary made it or not) are on a bike tour from the same company. They'll be in shortly, so I'm renting the internet connection while I'm waiting on them. Seemed like a good idea to update while I'm waiting for them.

Our hotel is sorta in the downtown district, the Hotel du Parc. I have never in my life seen so many people (well maybe in Egypt). They drive almost as bad as they do in Mexico. The rule here is that pedestrians have the right away, as long as they're in the crosswalk. However, there are no parking rules, so some people just park in the crosswalk. Everything is super expensive here. My 3 hour Segway tour was $72 Euros...... figure it out for yourself. A small bottle of water is 2 Euros.

Mark and I have finally found a way to save money. It is cheaper to buy a bottle of wine than it is to buy 3 glasses, so we now buy a bottle at every stop. Not only does that save money, I tend to go to bed several hours earlier that one would expect, and I sleep a lot sounder. Hmmmmmm

I have found that what we drink for coffee is called " cafe american ". It is a lot better than "cafe allonge"", which is a single expresso in a bigger cup. There is not a flower market on every street, nor a fruit stand. However, each neighborhood is required by law to hold two open air markets twice a week as a minimum.

Gotta run, this is costing a fortune. Sheila and I will update once we get to Sue's house. Later,
Connie
