Pre-trip planning party

Mark, Sheila, Gary and I got together to plan our trip. The picture was taken at Sheila's house.

Today, Sheila and I spent multiple hours trying to buy Euros. The paper shows an exchange rate of 1.5808 US for each Euro. Surprise, surprise, surprise...... That's not the clearing house rate. I bought Euros today for 1.68 each from Chase Bank. Had I been selling them, they would pay me 1.51. What a rip-off. Of course, I probably helped the American economy. Once I bought them, the dollar will probably go up, the Euro down, and I'll have even less buying power. Oops,,,,,,, never mind. I still have buying power because I have a credit card.
We're all ready to head for Europe.... the planning portion of going (the practical side I should have said) is a real bummer. Oh well, who wants to face the reality that this is one of the most expensive times to travel. When we were planning our trip back in December, we should have purchased Eruo's, plane tickets, booked hotels, etc.. "who knew".
